TERMOTERM XPS Boards – More Than Insulation Under a Heating Mat

TERMOTERM boards form an insulating layer between the subfloor and the underfloor heating system. They reduce heat loss downward, so the energy generated by the mat can be directed more effectively towards the heated floor and room.

Better Insulation, Faster Warmth

Reducing losses to the subfloor improves the working conditions of the underfloor heating. This is especially important when installing mats on subfloors where, without proper insulation, part of the energy would be needlessly lost.

Moisture-Resistant and Durable

The extruded polystyrene (XPS) core has a closed-cell structure and very low water absorption. The boards are also resistant to compression, and the outer layer reinforced with fibreglass mesh increases their resistance to damage. This means they also perform well in demanding bathroom conditions.

For Levelling Surfaces and Light Framing

TERMOTERM can be used for more than just flooring. The boards are also suitable for levelling and preparing surfaces, light framing, or building structures in shower areas. They can also be used to insulate balconies and loggias.

Easy to Cut and Fit

Their light weight and the ability to cut them with basic tools make it easy to fit the boards to a specific surface and structure. Several available thicknesses let you choose a solution both where minimal floor build-up is important and where a thicker insulating layer is needed. The current range includes 4, 6, 12, 20 and 30 mm variants.

Choosing the right heating mat is more important than many investors realize. The selection of an appropriate heating mat should not be based solely on the area of the room. That is why a well-chosen underfloor heating system operates comfortably, efficiently, and energy-saving for many years […]

Investors increasingly view electric underfloor heating as a conscious element of modern construction, rather than just a comfortable addition.
