Automatic control of the de-icing system

The controller is a key component of an electric de-icing system. Combined with temperature and humidity sensors, it makes it possible to automatically manage the operation of heating mats or cables depending on current conditions.

This means heating can be activated only when there is a risk of snow and ice formation, instead of running continuously. Systems of this type are used on driveways, pavements, steps, ramps, roofs and in gutters.

TERMOFOL controllers for outdoor heating

The TF-ICE MASTER enables automatic control of the de-icing system with Wi-Fi support. In larger installations, the system can be extended with a TF-ICE MASTER+ unit, which communicates with the main controller via RS485.

The choice of controller and sensors should take into account the type of installation, its power, the number of heated zones and the location of use. A properly configured control system increases user comfort and allows more efficient use of energy.
