Self-regulating heating cable TERMOFOL TF-CW-SR – protection of pipes against freezing

TERMOFOL TF-CW-SR is a self-regulating heating cable designed to protect pipes and pipelines from freezing. It performs well in installations exposed to low temperatures, including underground pipelines. It can be used on pipes with a diameter of up to 2 inches.

The most important feature of the cable is its self-regulation technology. The cable automatically adjusts the heating power to the temperature – when it gets cooler, it increases the amount of heat emitted, and as the temperature rises, it reduces the power. This ensures effective protection of the installation and does not require the use of an additional thermostat.

TF-CW-SR can be installed on the outer surface of the pipe under thermal insulation or inside the pipeline. The cable is approved for contact with water and has an IPX8 protection rating, allowing it to operate in conditions requiring high resistance to water exposure.

Main advantages

  • effective protection of pipes and pipelines against freezing,
  • self-regulation of heating power depending on temperature,
  • no need for an additional thermostat,
  • installation possible inside the pipe or on its surface,
  • can be used in underground pipelines,
  • approved for contact with water,
  • protection rating IPX8,
  • power supply 230 V, 50/60 Hz,
  • maximum operating temperature +65°C,
  • installation possible at temperatures down to -25°C,
  • power cable length 2.5 m with a sealed plug.

TF-CW-SR is a practical, maintenance-free solution for securing water installations for winter – especially where automatic adjustment of heating power and the option of choosing the installation method are important.

Important: when installing the cable inside the pipeline, an appropriate installation reducer for TF-CW-SR is required. The reducer is not part of the set and must be purchased separately.

Anti-freezing Application

Self-regulating heating cables TERMOFOL TF-CW-SR are designed for protecting pipes and pipelines with water from freezing, especially installations exposed to low temperatures. They can be installed inside the pipe or on its outer surface under thermal insulation.

Thanks to self-regulation, the cable adjusts its heating power to local temperature conditions and does not require an additional thermostat. It is suitable for water installations located outside, underground, and in unheated spaces.

How to Choose a Heating Mat for a Room? A Practical Guide

Choosing the right heating mat is more important than many investors realize. The selection of an appropriate heating mat should not be based solely on the area of the room. In practice, other factors also play a significant role: the heating function, type of flooring, insulation standard of the building, actual heating area, and the way the interior is used. That is why a well-chosen underfloor heating system operates comfortably, efficiently, and energy-saving for many years […]
