The device works with external temperature and humidity sensors (sold separately), which provide data on weather conditions. The thermostat automatically turns the heating system on or off, optimizing energy consumption and increasing safety in the environment.

The mats can be installed under paving stones, sidewalk slabs, concrete surfaces, and asphalt. In sets with the TF-ICE MASTER controller, the system can automatically respond to conditions conducive to ice formation.
