TERMOFOL ULTRATERM 6 mm insulation board – ideal for heating foils

TERMOFOL ULTRATERM 6 mm is a durable insulation board made of XPS designed for use as a floor layer, especially in systems with heating foil and floor panels. It reduces heat loss towards the substrate, helps to level minor unevenness, and creates a stable base for subsequent floor layers.

In the ULTRATERM underfloor heating system, it is laid on a prepared substrate, and then the heating foil is directly installed on the boards. Thanks to its small thickness of 6 mm, the board allows for improved substrate insulation without significantly raising the level of the finished floor.

Insulation and high load resistance

An important feature of ULTRATERM is its high compressive strength Cs ≥ 700 kPa. This ensures stable support for the floor and resistance to loads occurring during everyday use. The board has a thermal conductivity coefficient of λ = 0.035 W/(m·K).

ULTRATERM can also be used as an underlay between the concrete substrate and floor panels, even without a heating system. The underlay has been tested according to the standards used in the recommendation of the European Association of Laminate Flooring Manufacturers and has a declaration of conformity with PN-EN 16354:2018.

Use Under Underfloor Heating

TERMOFOL ULTRATERM insulation boards are designed for use under underfloor heating systems with heating film, between the substrate and the heating layer. They limit heat loss towards the substrate, help level minor unevenness, and provide stable support for subsequent layers of flooring.

They are suitable for houses, apartments, offices, and other spaces with floating floors, including laminated panels, vinyl, and appropriately selected floorboards.
